The NSW Police & Emergency Services Games Soccer (men’s) event will commence at 9.00am at Ocean Park, Campbell Street, Woonona. Hosted by the Woonona Football Club, the 2019 NSW Police & ES Games men’s and women’s soccer event will be held at the same venue.
Participants will have access to toilet and change room facilities, as well as canteen facilities thank you to the Host Club.
I encourage you to submit a team from your station or work location, as well as bring family and friends to support your team, so that a great day may be enjoyed by all.
NSW Soccer Federation rules will apply. Each team may register a maximum number of 18 players (this applies to both the Men’s and Women’s Field Soccer tournaments).
Teams will be divided into two pools and will play on a round robin basis, with the first two placed sides from each pool progressing to the semi-finals and the play-offs.
Traditionally the men’s field soccer is a well contested event and we wish to especially encourage soccer enthusiasts from the southern region to participate. This year, on the back of a very successful tournament in Mandurah at the 2018 AP&ES Games, a women’s tournament is proposed.
Team Managers, I encourage you to register your teams early to avoid disappointment and so that numbers can be determined early to ensure a fantastic competition is held.
See you in the Gong this October!
