The Official Launch of the Police Games will reflect the 150 year’s milestone being conducted at the Justice and Police Museum, Circular Quay on Friday, 23rd March from 10.30am.
We are pleased to announce that guest speakers for the Police Games Launch are –
- Retired NSW Police Force constable and NRL named Immortal – John Raper, MBE. An Australian former professional rugby league footballer and coach, John played a record 33 test caps between 1959 to 1968 and contested 6 World Cup matches. Raper captained Australia on 8 occasions and played in 8 consecutive NSWRLF victories for the St George Dragons club. He has since been named as one of the nation’s finest footballers of the 20th century.
- Author Patrick Lindsay, who will soon be releasing a book outlining 150 Years of Policing in New South Wales.
- “Showman, sportsman, survivor” Bill Harris, who at 95 (soon to turn 96) played rugby league for Canterbury-Bankstown in 1943-44 and served in the NSW Police Force for 32 years! He is believed to be the oldest-living NSW Detective.
